This mix is a combination of a bunch of new tracks that I wanted to put out there, as well as some old ones that I haven’t been able to include in previous releases. It’s also a milestone for me, as I have decided to trim down the duration of each individual track played as much as possible, and limiting the total mixtime to a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 45 minutes. The pacing in this, and most likely future releases, will be much higher, even though the tempo will still be mid-range (hence the name).

I’ve managed to squeeze 16 tracks together in just 43 minutes. I’m quite happy with that, although some of the (quite heavy) editing may be apparent if you know the tracks well beforehand. The playtime for the tracks by themselves vary from just above a minute to as much as four minutes or more.

I have been working on this one for a while as the opening track (the vocal version of Ghosts n’ Stuff by Deadmau5) hadn’t yet been released, and I really wanted it for my intro. The rest of the mix feels sort of rushed in places and some of the transitions I am not 100% happy with, but the set was an experiment in and of itself, so at least I’m learning.
